I think Steven is finally starting to settle into a more normal sleeping schedule. He's awake for most of the day, though he dozes sometimes for 5-30 minutes. Then he sleeps for 7-8 hours, wakes up to be fed and changed, and then sleeps for another four.
This morning he actually went back to sleep again after waking up to be fed a second time, which makes me wonder if his new sleeping schedule is just because he's sick again. He's got a stuffy nose and a cough, which bug him during the day. So maybe he just has trouble sleeping during the day and then by night time he's exhausted enough that all he can do is sleep.
I'm hoping this is his new schedule and it will stay this way for a while, though. Bill still stays up with him until 2 or 3 in the morning, wanting to let me sleep. I keep telling him that Steven's been sleeping longer and he should just go to sleep. I even offered to kick him awake instead of getting up myself, since I get woken up by Steven's fussing and Bill often sleeps through it. But I think he's going to continue staying up late until he can be certain that Steven is likely to sleep for at least 6 hours at a time. As it is, he only goes to sleep when he's fairly certain that I won't get woken up until at least 6:00am.
Really, I couldn't ask for a husband that treats me better. But he needs sleep too, and I'm having a hard time convincing him of that.
